Cootamundra Uniting Church
26 Cooper Street,
Come and join us at our worship service 9:30 am every Sunday followed by refreshments and a chat in Dickson Hall. Holy Communion is usually celebrated on the second Sunday of the month. On the fourth Sunday of each month we have an informal style of worship held in Dickson hall, which is next to the Church.
There is on street car parking (60 deg angle parking, rear to curb) on both sides of Cooper St, also parallel parking on Adams St.
The Riverina Presbytery covers a large geographic area and has been subdivided into regions by the Uniting Church in the Riverina .
The Eastern Region is a grouping of 7 Churches who work together under the leadership and guidance of an Ordained Minister of the Word. This is a relatively new initiative and Rev Keith Robinson was inducted into the position of Eastern Region Presbyter in early November 2018.
Cootamundra Uniting Church is fortunate to have 3 worship teams consisting of 4 or 5 people. The teams take it in turns month by month to lead us in worship. During January there is no designated team to lead worship, worship leaders are selected from those not going away on holidays. Each year the different teams take turns from February to December. Thus each team has a different month each year. This is not a hard and fast rule and it works well for us.
A small number of members of the worship teams are authorised to preside at sacraments. The sacraments in the Uniting Church of Australia are Holy Communion and the Sacraments of Baptism. Usually one of these people take the service on the second Sunday of the month.
Our church has a hearing loop for people with hearing aids.
