WELCOME & CALL TO WORSHIP
The ‘Call to Worship’ and ‘Opening Prayers’, which are in the video below, are led by Rev. Keith Robinson. The words are underneath the video.
Welcome to the Sunday online worship for 08/11/2020 from the Eastern Region of the Riverina Presbytery. Today, it is only 3 weeks away from the end of the church year, and the beginning of Advent.
It is a time when we remember all that God has done for us, and begin to think about what lies ahead. And so God summons us to this place, with hope and anticipation of good things to come, in this age and the next.
We light the candle as a reminder that the light of Christ is always with us.

Acknowledgement of country
As we begin our worship, let us also acknowledge the Wiradjuri people. They are the first inhabitants of our region, and part of God’s good creation. We honour them for their custodianship of the land, on which we live today.
Let us pray,
God of Heaven and Earth, God of the sunrise and the sunset, God of the highest mountain and the deepest valley, hear our prayers as we come before your throne of glory.
We come, as followers of Christ, remembering his promise that those who seek will find, so we come to seek cleansing, we come to seek strength, we come to seek a clearer purpose, we come to seek direction, we come to see your face.
Declare your message to us this day, and grant us the courage to listen. May our listening turn to action. And may our actions touch the hearts of those who need to hear your voice. In the name of Christ we pray. Amen.
Musical reflection
The musical reflection for today is, “Steal away to Jesus“, featuring Yahosh and Camlyn Giddins. The video is below & a separate link is provided if you prefer to go directly to Youtube.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
Word of mission & blessing
Go in peace, love and care for one another in Christ’s name.
And may God our Creator, Christ Jesus our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit our teacher and guide, grant you grace, unfailing courage, a firm hope, devotion to truth, and the strength to walk in his path both now and forevermore. Amen.
